Poster Abstracts


Parkinson’s Foundation will be hosting a Poster Session. Details regarding the abstract submission timeline and process are below.

The abstract submission deadline is June 16th.

Notification for abstract acceptance will occur by July 14th.

There is a 300 word maximum for the Objective, Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion sections combined. There is no word limit for the title.

By submitting an abstract, authors affirm that the work reported is their own, as an individual or group.

Encore abstract submissions are permitted, as well as abstracts that have been previously published. Please site where/when the abstract has been presented/published on the actual poster.

Authors will be asked to disclose relationships with funding sources and with the manufacturers of any commercial products discussed in their presentation.

References and clinical trial details do not need to be included in the abstract. They may be added to the poster if the abstract is accepted.

The abstract submitter(s) retain the copyright. There is no embargo policy.
Clinical Research
Observational studies, case series, interesting case reports, and systematic reviews of pharmacological and non-pharmacological topics, including disease processes.
Care
Interdisciplinary care models, clinic operations and services, quality improvement (QI), medications, treatments and therapies, PD disease stage and progression, motor symptoms, mental health and non-motor symptoms, cognition, hospital care, rehabilitation and exercise, palliative care, and health care outcomes and disparities.
Education and Outreach
Professional education and training to health care professionals (seminars, trainings, fellowships, internships, shadowing rotations, etc.), patient and care partner education (e.g., annual symposia, lunch and learn programs, educational classes, etc.), outreach programs that reach populations outside the center (support groups, mental health and wellness programs, exercise classes, other outreach activities or strategies), and patient engagement and patient advisory boards.

Poster presentation details:

All posters will be given a number in accordance with their placement in the abstract program, which will be given to them upon arrival at the meeting.

The primary author does not need to be the presenter for the poster.

Parkinson’s Foundation is not responsible for editing poster presentation order for those that submit/present multiple posters at the meeting.
-
Posters will be hung on a 4’ x 8’ board that is landscape.
-
Printed posters must fit within those dimensions.
-
All presenters are responsible for the transportation of their poster to the meeting venue.
-
The Hilton Lake Las Vegas does have a UPS store on-site if you would like to print your poster.
-
An award will be given for the best abstract in each category.
